WHAT EXACTLY IS IN JACKSON REECE WIPES AND TOILETRIES?

Ever wondered what makes our products so special? We have spent years researching and creating gentle formulas that work for everyone. We also don’t test on animals and always produce pH balanced formulas. Here’s a break down of exactly what we put into our wipes and toiletries.

Aloe Vera- The extraordinary healing powers of the Aloe Vera plant make it an important ingredient in the Jackson Reece formula. The leaves contain a gel which has an immediate healing effect on wounds and burns, acting like a protective coating on the skin and accelerating the healing process. It’s also a mild anaesthetic and relieves pain and itching, stimulating blood-flow to reduce inflammation, swelling and redness.

Aloe Vera is also beneficial for skin conditions such as psoriasis, acne and eczema as the gel acts as a gentle moisturiser. It removes dead cells and can reduce scarring, aloe vera gels and sprays are also used in the relief of arthritic pain in the joints and muscles.

Ylang Ylang - Ylang Ylang is every bit as exciting as it sounds. Famous for its ability to retain moisture and maintain the skin’s natural balance, it has a gentle, calming odour and some rather helpful antiseptic properties.

Purified water - There’s nothing more natural than water and we make sure ours is expertly filtered water to ensure there’s no harmful bacteria lurking - just pure, clean water. 97% of our wipes is purified water.

Tea tree- This anti-inflammatory ingredient makes it useful in relieving the discomfort of itchy skin. It soothes the skin and can also help heal infections that cause itchy skin.

Chamomile- Reflecting the fruity apple-like scent of the plant, chamomile means ‘earth apple’, which is derived from the Greek word khamaimēlon. You might be more familiar with it as an herbal tea infusion, but as a natural treatment for eczema and psoriasis, this clever little plant is also worthy of being included in our wipes.

Almond Oil- Mightily beneficial, almond oil is admired when it comes to health, beauty and, well, life in general. The oil from its edible and widely cultivated seeds is rich in Vitamin A and is kind to skin pores and follicles as well as being good for sensitive skin.

Argan Oil- Widely regarded as the beauty industry’s wonder ingredient, this totally natural plant oil is produced from the kernals of the Moroccan Argan tree. Used extensively to treat skin diseases and as a cosmetic oil for skin and hair, it moisturises, prevents flaking and nourishes.

Orange Oil- Yes, you guessed it, orange oil comes from oranges! A completely natural oil taken from the outer peel of the orange fruit, it has been highly sought-after for centuries because of its knack for boosting the immune system.

Commonly used in beauty products and lotions because of its anti-bacterial properties and fresh, tangy scent, orange oil has long been a popular remedy in folk medicine throughout the Mediterranean, India and China.

Avocado Oil- Avocados are having a moment, and not just because they’re nutritious and tasty… Avocado oil offers many benefits and is one of few edible oils which isn’t derived from seeds. Instead, it’s pressed from the fleshy pulp surrounding the pit of the avocado fruit. Having been extensively put through its paces, it’s now a much-valued ingredient in the cosmetics industry, thanks to its regenerative and moisturising properties.

Cocoa Seed Butter- You’ve probably consumed cocoa butter many times, as it’s used to make chocolate (and who doesn’t love chocolate?!), but this versatile little ingredient is also great for our skin.

Cocoa butter is a natural, melt-able oil extracted from the cocoa bean. Rich in healthy, fatty acids, it’s an excellent treatment for naturally healing dry, sensitive skin. One of the most stable fats, it also has a beautiful velvety texture, pleasant fragrance and moisturising properties, which benefits chapped or burned skin and lips, as well as preventing dry, itchy skin.
